Society of Friends of the Bet Tfila – Research Unit for Jewish Architecture in Europe e.V.

The goal of the Society of Friends of Bet Tfila, founded in 2003, is to promote the work of the Bet Tfila – Research Unit for Jewish Architecture in Europe with its two locations at the Department of Architectural History in Braunschweig/Germany and the Center for Jewish Art in Jerusalem/Israel. The society supports the Bet Tfila through direct grants and by initiating a non-profit foundation.

This foundation will enable the Research Unit to be financially independent of state subsidies in the future in order to carry out its aims – to document and research the sacred and secular architecture of Jewish communities in Europe.
